Glass and Aluminum Installer

Key Responsibilities

• Read Blueprints: Review project drawings and measurements to plan the layout and sequence.
• Fabricate Frames: Cut, drill, and assemble aluminum profiles, tracks, and frames using saws and power tools.
• Install Glass: Set glass panes, mirrors, or panels safely into aluminum frames using suction cups, cranes, or manual lifting.
• Seal and Weatherproof: Apply gaskets, rubber strips, silicone, and sealants to ensure installations are secure and watertight.
• Remove Old Units: Take out damaged or old glass, frames, and sealants prior to new replacement work.
• Maintain Safety: Follow strict job-site safety rules, wear protective gear, and set up scaffolding or lifts when needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on glazing and aluminum fabrication experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficient with tape measures (accurate to fractions of an inch), chop saws, drills, and hand tools.
• Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy glass and aluminum components and stand for long periods.
• Problem-Solving: Capability to adjust frames and level installations on uneven structures.
