HR Coordinator (Recruitment and Immigration) will primarily be responsible for recruitment and immigration administration for a large hotel with 300+ employees. Responsibilities include assisting employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures, supporting hiring managers/supervisors with the recruitment process, monitoring for compliance with all local laws, regulations and company policies and standards, and processing immigration applications as and when needed. Will coordinate and conduct applicant drug screens, reference checks, background checks and pre-employment verification. Maintain applicant flow, orientation schedule and transfer request logs. Enter associate and job related data into Human Resources Information Systems. Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files and make sure that they comply with company policies and local law. In addition, will inform Human Resources management of issues related to employee relations within the division or property and will assist and support management and the leadership team with handling and resolving Human Resources issues. This is not an entry-level position so candidates who meet the below requirements and are shortlisted as a top candidate will be required to undertake administrative skills testing. Discuss work topics, activities, or problems with coworkers, supervisors, or managers discreetly and quietly, avoiding public areas of the property. Prepare and review written documents (e.g., daily logs, business letters, memoranda, reports), including proofreading and editing written information to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist management in establishing and communicating goals, performance expectations, timetables and deadlines for shift or departmental operations to hourly employees and ensure that they are understood. Coach and develop employees (e.g., create expectations for continual improvement, provide challenging tasks and assignments, hold development discussions, and construct and execute development plans). Encourage and motivate employees to perform their best, take responsibility for tasks and assignments, make decisions and provide input on possible improvements. Assist management in counseling hourly employees on work related concerns and issues to ensure satisfaction and productivity.
