Senior Manager, Information Technology

The Cayman Registry, a division of Cayman Maritime, was established in 1903 and currently supports a diverse range of vessel types, from commercial ships to private pleasure yachts. With headquarters in the Cayman Islands and a European Regional Office in Southampton, UK, the Registry also maintains a global presence in the USA, UK, Italy, France, Netherlands, Monaco, Greece, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. We are now seeking to employ a Senior Manager, Information Technology, in a Business Applications environment based in our Head Office, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. Reporting directly to the Head, Information Technology, the post holder will be responsible for: Job Role The post holder reports to the Head of Information Technology (IT) at the Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands (MACI) and focuses on business-aligned IT applications. The Senior Manager of Information Technology is a key role in business analysis and process improvement. The position focuses on analyzing and optimizing business processes, translating business needs into clear requirements, supporting business applications, and ensuring technology delivers measurable value to the organization. The role bridges business needs with IT capabilities, ensuring applications enhance productivity and efficiency. Providing analysis and recommendations of application solutions, processes, and policy to the Head of IT.

The Technology section activities include, but are not limited to

• Develop and implement MACI’s IT Strategy in alignment with the Authority’s mission and strategic objectives;
• Management and support of Information Technology infrastructure and systems;
• Management of Cybersecurity Risk;
• Procurement of IT equipment, services, and systems;
• Vendor Management;
• Business continuity, disaster recovery, and planning for all aspects relating to Information Technology; and
• IT Process and Governance.

Job Functions

• Lead As-Is process mapping, gap analysis, and To-Be process redesign.
• Translate business needs into clear business and functional requirements.
• Prepare procurement documentation (RFI, RFQ, RFP).
• Provide support and remediation for business applications.
• Support user training and adoption of business applications.
• Provide advice to the Head, IT on IT Policy, and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in projects as requested by the Head, Information Technology; and
• The post holder shall be required to perform any other duties as requested from time to time by the CEO or Designate.
