Assist masons in laying brick, concrete block, stone, and other masonry materials. Mix mortar, cement, grout, and concrete according to specifications. Transport and distribute bricks, blocks, stones, mortar, and other materials to work areas. Prepare and clean work sites before, during, and after masonry work. Load, unload, and store construction materials, tools, and equipment. Cut masonry materials using hand tools or power tools as directed. Erect, move, and dismantle scaffolding, ladders, and temporary work platforms. Maintain a steady supply of materials to masons to ensure efficient workflow. Clean excess mortar from surfaces and assist with finishing masonry joints. Operate basic construction equipment and tools safely. Remove debris, waste materials, and construction rubble from work areas. Follow construction plans, instructions, and safety procedures. Assist in measuring and marking surfaces for masonry work. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment. Comply with workplace health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Required Skills and Qualifications Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials. Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Good teamwork and communication skills. Understanding of construction site safety practices.
