C & M Group of Companies T/A Breadfruit Garden Cafe is looking to hire a hard-working kitchen helper. He also needs to work with C & C Enterprise for 20 hours per week.
Prepare food items for cooking, stock and store food supplies, equipment, or other utensils. Wipe down kitchen surfaces using proper sanitizers; clean any kitchenware (e.g., knife, utensil, chopping board, etc.) or dishes. Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them on racks or a conveyor. Heavy lifting, and to help with the daily functions and smooth running of a kitchen. Preparing meal ingredients for the cook, which includes washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing ingredients. Assisting kitchen staff in unloading food supplies from delivery trucks. Properly washing and drying all dishes, utensils, cooking instruments, and cutting boards. Packing take-out orders as needed. Removing garbage, replacing garbage bags, and washing garbage cans. Mopping and sweeping the kitchen areas as required. Storing ingredients and food items according to food safety standards.
High school diploma or GED. Proven experience helping in kitchen settings. The ability to stand for extended periods of time. The ability to safely use kitchen equipment and appliances. Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures. Strong communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Must be able to work on weekends and Holidays. With a clean Police record.
