Journeyman Lineman

• Construct and maintain overhead and underground electrical power lines, including transformers and circuit breakers.
• Identify and rectify issues in electrical systems, responding to outages and performing repairs efficiently.
• Adhere to safety regulations and protocols while working with high-voltage electricity, ensuring a safe work environment.
• Operate heavy machinery such as bucket trucks and trenchers for installation and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections of power lines and equipment to prevent outages and ensure reliability.
• Work closely with other linemen and apprentices, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency outages, ensuring prompt restoration of service.
• Document work completed and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

Required

• Valid Journeyman Lineman certification and relevant trade licenses.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical line work, including both underground and overhead systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, safety protocols, and industry standards.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces safely.
• Experience with advanced technologies in electrical distribution, such as smart grid technology.
