The successful candidate will manage the Engineering Services Department of the Water Authority, which comprises of the Engineering Design and Project Management Division, the Construction and Inspection Division, and the Water and Wastewater Operations Support Division. They will report to the Deputy Director and will directly supervise several engineering managers, engineers and technicians.
▪ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or a related discipline) and a recognized professional engineering designation or licensure from an internationally accredited professional body. ▪ Minimum of 10 years of post-graduate engineering experience, including at least 7 years in a senior technical or project leadership role with responsibility for the planning, design, and/or construction of water and wastewater infrastructure systems serving populations of 20,000 or more customers. ▪ Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring and developing multidisciplinary teams of engineering and technical professionals to deliver complex projects. ▪ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with GIS, SCADA, HMI and PLC systems is essential. ▪ Ability to communicate effectively and build productive working relationships with management, colleagues, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders. ▪ Self-motivated and results oriented professional with sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
