Job Description

Dentons is seeking a qualified Caymanian, or PR or RERC holder with the right to work, for the full-time role of Associate within our local practice team. The successful candidate must be admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the Cayman Islands and have 5+ years PQE, with experience in real estate transactions. The successful candidate will focus on real estate conveyancing and local solicitor practice matters, advising local and international clients on a broad range of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, title investigations, financing transactions, leasing arrangements, and property development projects. The role involves managing transactions from inception through to completion, conducting and overseeing due diligence exercises, reviewing and advising on title matters and property rights, drafting and negotiating transactional documentation, liaising with lenders, clients, regulators, and other stakeholders, and providing practical, commercially focused legal advice throughout the conveyancing process.

Qualifications

  • Law degree with relevant professional qualification recognized in Cayman
  • Admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the Cayman Islands
  • 5+ years PQE
  • Strong experience managing property transactions independently from commencement through to completion
  • Police clearance mandatory
  • Proof of Cayman Status, or PR/RERC with right to work
