Duties include organizing and safely operating Stingray City, North Sound snorkeling, and fishing charters. The Captain will be responsible for the safe navigation and operation of the vessel, guest safety, trip preparation, customer service, vessel setup and cleanup, assisting guests in and around the water when appropriate, maintaining the vessel to company standards, and ensuring compliance with Cayman Islands maritime regulations and company safety procedures. Commercial Captain's Licence recognized by the Cayman Islands Maritime Authority or equivalent. Current CPR/First Aid certification and documented rescue swimmer or equivalent water rescue training. A minimum of 10 years' experience operating commercial tour and/or fishing vessels is required. Extensive knowledge of the waters surrounding Grand Cayman, particularly the North Sound and Stingray City area, is required. Salary Range: CI$4,000 per month, plus gratuities and statutory benefits in accordance with the Cayman Islands Labour Act. Job Location: North Sound and the waters surrounding the Cayman Islands. Hours of Work: Full-time. Hours are variable due to the nature of the tourism industry. Working Conditions: Must be consistently punctual and dependable, as the preparation of charter vessels and meeting guests is the Captain's responsibility. Must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather and sea conditions when operations are considered safe. Must be willing and able to enter the water with guests when appropriate.
