The Associate – Offshore Actuarial Analytics & Management Role is responsible for actuarial and financial reporting, enterprise risk management (ERM), transaction analysis, and operational support for the reinsurance vertical and Cayman-based entities. The role partners closely with Finance, Risk, Shared Services, external auditors, regulators, and senior management to ensure accurate reporting, strong governance, regulatory compliance, and effective operational execution.
Financial & Regulatory Reporting o Perform quarterly Fair Value of Liabilities (FVL) preparation by gathering required data, reviewing assumptions, and validating asset inputs. o Develop predictive tools to estimate FVL results using historical outcomes and market trends. o Execute the quarterly FVL process and prepare associated journal entries. o Present and discuss FVL results with Finance and Cayman management, including market movements, assumption changes, and impacts on Total Adjusted Capital (TAC) and Net Investment Income (NII). o Continuously enhance the quality, clarity, and effectiveness of actuarial presentations. o Perform quarterly FVL control testing, documentation updates, and audit evidence preparation. o Execute quarterly controls within AuditBoard. o Work with shared services functions to complete reserve calculations, analyses and management reports. o Assist Approved Actuary with preparing the Actuarial Valuation Report (AVR). o Support the Approved Actuary in filing the AVR and presenting results to the Underwriting Committee and the Board. o Ensure that business controls between Shared Services and the Company are aligned and function seamlessly. o Review all materials provided by shared services functions for accuracy and provide feedback to improve processes and presentation quality. o Present capital allocation framework and recommendations to the management, Underwriting Committee, and Board as required. o Partner with Finance to deliver the NKY Capital Forecast model in a timely manner. o Analyze key drivers of plan changes and prepare controls and documentation for capital forecasting. o Prepare for internal actuarial audits, including investment policy and control testing. o Review investment policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. o Serve as actuarial reporting lead and coordinator for external audits, particularly for FVL. o Explain key drivers of GAAP results to management and stakeholders. Enterprise Risk Management o Prepare quarterly ERM inherent risk assessments for NKY. o Build and maintain Risk Register, Risk Metrics and Risk Appetite Statement for each of the Company and its Cayman-based affiliates. o Monitor capital allocation frameworks, risk appetite statements, and capital forecasting for offshore entities. o Prepare agendas and lead quarterly ERM meetings with insurance managers and Group ERM. o Facilitate and lead the annual inherent risk assessment process. o Coordinate with Risk and shared services to ensure ERM alignment with Group and Cayman statutory standards. o Support Group Risk in the development of the Group ORSA, ensuring completeness of Cayman-focused analysis. o Coordinate ERM presentations for board meetings. Transaction analysis o Manage transaction process for the Company. o Analyze existing and proposed reinsurance transactions and document analysis. o Analyze new products and prepare product memos for NKY under existing and new reinsurance agreements. o Prepare quarterly regulatory reports and correspondence to CIMA. o Support the Approved Actuary with regulatory applications. o Review pricing models to evaluate third party transactions. o Perform preliminary analysis for potential pipeline and M&A transactions. o Maintain and update transaction pipeline reporting. o Perform other duties as assigned. o Support preparation of non-quarterly/ad hoc regulatory reports and correspondence to CIMA Operational Leadership, Strategic Support and Management Reporting o Manage the timely preparation of management reports. o Produce reports for which the incumbent has functional responsibility and coordinate with peers as needed. o Coordinate with Shared Services to ensure efficient production and delivery of analyses. o Prepare materials, agendas, and presentation decks for the Underwriting Committee and board meetings. o Draft, review, and finalize minutes for the Underwriting Committee, Board of Directors, and Investment Committee, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely circulation. o Organize and coordinate Board, Underwriting Committee, and Investment Committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, materials distribution, and follow up actions. o Support the COO and Approved Actuary in Board reporting, including actuarial, capital forecasting, TAC walk throughs, regulatory updates, and committee feedback. o Produce and distribute the Quarterly Management Report (QMR). o Lead all quarterly NKY operational meetings, including payroll, IT, finance, ERM, AML, and investment updates. o Provide direct support to the COO in managing Cayman operations and ensuring continuity. o Exercise delegated decision making authority in the COO’s absence. o Oversee capital management, financial planning, governance processes, and regulatory compliance. o Manage quarterly settlements, cash flows, and contract administration. o Coordinate governance activities, including board and shareholder matters and statutory filings. o Liaise with outsourced providers and oversee vendor relationships. o Strengthen disaster recovery, risk management, cybersecurity, and internal control frameworks. o Participate in tax, internal audit, and valuation related initiatives. Stakeholder Collaboration & Influence o Represent the organization in industry forums and regulatory committees, including CIRCA Regulatory and Marketing Committees. o Lead and manage the Cayman Actuarial Network. o Serve as liaison between CIRCA subcommittees and Nassau leadership. o Oversee Cayman office management and stakeholder coordination. o Build and maintain strong relationships with Shared Services, consultants, and vendors. o Continue development and implementation of effective governance frameworks. o Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and innovation. o Encourage proactive problem solving, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. o Develop relationships with Cayman and International actuaries Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience: Minimum of 7 years. Salary: US$150k to $175k.
