Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine pipe layout and system requirements
Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shapes and sizes
Assemble and install piping systems, including valves, fittings, and supports
Inspect, test, and troubleshoot piping systems to ensure proper operation and identify leaks or faults
Repair and maintain existing piping systems and replace defective components
Use hand and power tools, welding, and brazing equipment as required
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards
Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to complete projects efficiently
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Requirement
Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter or in a similar role
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques
Knowledge of NFPA 13 codes
Experience with welding, threading, and pipe fabrication
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Physical stamina and ability to work in confined spaces or at heights
Work Environment
Construction sites
May involve working outdoors, in confined spaces, or at heights
Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
May include shift work, overtime, or emergency call-outs
