Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Kirk IT is the leading on-island IT solutions provider in the Cayman Islands and one of the largest Microsoft resellers in the Caribbean. We have just opened up a new role to help support its growth. Kirk IT is seeking an experienced professional specialized in Cloud & Physical Client/Server systems, engineering, and administration. The successful candidate will be required to participate in system design and pre-sales consulting, proposal design and presentation, project management and implementation, as well as oversee and participate in support of existing systems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 as well as other Cloud Technologies.
• In depth knowledge of HPE Servers & Systems as well as hypervisor platforms including Nutanix, HPE VME, VMWare.
• Can work with the sales team to provide sales opportunities from problem analysis and aid with sales where needed.
• Provide presales knowledge, architecting and delivering solutions to clients.
• Be a part of regular review meetings and report on quality and performance of cloud and system services.
• Acting as a point of escalation for clients for technical queries.
• Managing customer support requests, providing on-going proactive and reactive support.

Minimum Requirements

• Professional Certifications:
• HPE ATP or equivalent (Study for HPE ATP required if not attained).
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
• Nutanix certification to Professional level (NCP).
• Ability to prioritize assigned tasks and work concurrently on multiple complex projects with competing deadlines.
• At least 5 years’ experience supporting Microsoft technologies.
• At least 3 years’ experience working in a for a MSP.
• Excellent Customer Service & Communication skills.

• HPE Master ASE (SAN architect)
• HPE Service Qualifications
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate
• Nutanix Master (NCM-MCI)
• HPE Morpheus VM Essentials certification
• Google Cloud: Associate Cloud Engineer
• AWS Certification: Cloud Practitioner

Essential Requirements

You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills, be a self-starter, have excellent time management skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment with a diverse group of customers.

Working Conditions and Compensation

• Full-time position with work hours from 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday, although work outside these hours may be required.
• Salary will be commensurate with experience and will be in the range of CI$58k–CI$68k per annum, including health and pension benefits as required by the Labour Law will be included in the compensation package.
