WELDER / MIXER DRIVER

The duties and responsibilities of the applicant are not limited to the following. Welder

• Operating the controls of a concrete pump to ensure smooth operation

during pumping operations.

• Inspecting the equipment for defects such as cracks, leaks in hoses,

valves, or seals before each use.

• Reading plans and specifications to determine pump size requirements and

placements of the pump on the job site.

• Mixing concrete according to specification for strength and consistency.
• Making any adjustments necessary to keep the concrete pump in good

operating condition.

• Operating the concrete pump during the concrete delivery process.
• Observing the concrete being poured to ensure that it is delivered to the

desired location.

• Operating the controls of a concrete mixer to mix materials together to

deliver concrete to the designated location.

• Cleaning out the drum at the end of a job to ensure that no concrete

remains inside the drum

Mixer Driver

• Mixing concrete materials or chemicals with water or other liquids to create

concrete mixtures

• Inspecting materials to ensure they are of high quality and fit for use in

construction projects

• Operating equipment that mixes concrete or other materials, such as hand-

held shovels or front-end loaders

• Measuring materials according to specifications before mixing to ensure

consistency

• Loading and unloading materials from trucks and other vehicles used to

transport goods

• Operating mobile concrete batch plants that produce ready-mixed concrete

onsite

• Using equipment to measure the volume of concrete being produced, such

as a computerized device that weighs trucks before and after they are filled with concrete

• Maintaining records of concrete production activities such as amounts

used and types of materials used

• Cleaning equipment and work areas after use to prevent contamination

from previous jobs.
