Floor Technician

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated Floor Technician who will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all carpeted floors and hard surfaces throughout our Resort facilities. The Floor Technician role is very physically demanding as the successful candidate must be able to efficiently operate large hotel specific floor and cleaning equipment as well as perform preventative maintenance on the same.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities for the Floor Technician position include but not limited to the following:

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization
• Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tiles, carpet, and brick flooring
• Complete work assignments in a timely manner
• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
• Use and maintain equipment properly
• Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely
• Always observe safety precautions, uses safety signs “wet floor”
• Ability to work without normal supervision
• Reports on safety hazards as appropriate
• Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1-2 years of specific Floor Technician experience in a Luxury Hotel environment required
• Proven experience operating large hotel floor and carpet cleaning equipment
• Hospitality Certificate, Diploma or formal training preferred
• Must be physically able to stand for extended periods, lift, push/pull 40-50 lbs.
• Must be able to work independently, exercise attention to detail, and maintain a positive attitude
• Excellent command of the English language (spoken, written, reading, and comprehension) required
• Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner
• Must be able to handle difficult situations involving guests or others in a professional manner
• Ability to determine appropriate course of action in complex situations
• Must be flexible to work all required shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Pay range is C.I $6.56 - $7.00 hourly, plus a share of the gratuities pool. Workweek – 45 hours Benefits will include Health Insurance, Pension, Vacation & all other benefits as required by Cayman Islands Laws. Deadline to apply is July 21st, 2026
