Mason/Carpenter

Ocean Blue Construction, Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mason/Carpenter to join our growing construction team. This is a technical, hands-on position requiring a strong understanding of construction methods, structural work, and finishing techniques. The successful candidate will demonstrate craftsmanship, precision and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Working Hours

Monday – Saturday | 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Key Responsibilities

• Construct, install, repair, and maintain masonry and carpentry structures in accordance with approved construction drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans.
• Lay concrete blocks, bricks, and other masonry materials with precision to ensure structural integrity.
• Construct and install formwork, roofing systems, doors, windows, cabinetry, framing, flooring, and other wooden structures.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble construction materials using both hand and power tools.
• Perform finishing works, including plastering, concrete finishing, trimming, and installation of fixtures.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Collaborate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mason, Carpenter, or in a similar construction trade.
• Sound knowledge of masonry techniques, carpentry methods, construction materials, and building practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Proficient in the safe operation of construction tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and workmanship.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a professional construction team.
