Gas Station Manager

Position Summary Oasis Batabano is seeking a dynamic and commercially-minded Gas Station Manager to lead our West Bay operations. While fuel is our primary draw for traffic, our Directors recognize that the Convenience Store (C-Store) is the engine of our profitability. We are looking for a veteran of the fuel industry who understands that a gas station is, first and foremost, a retail destination. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing "inside sales" through aggressive merchandising, inventory management, and high-margin product growth, while ensuring the fuel forecourt remains safe, compliant, and efficient. Key Responsibilities

• Retail & Profitability Management (Primary Focus)
• Maximize "Inside" Margins: Drive sales in high-profit categories including food service, beverages, tobacco, and automotive essentials to offset slim fuel margins.
• Merchandising Excellence: Design and implement planograms that utilize high-traffic zones (near registers and end-caps) for impulse buys.
• Vendor Relations: Negotiate with local distributors to ensure competitive pricing, promotional allowances, and optimal stock levels.
• Shrinkage Control: Implement rigorous inventory auditing and loss prevention strategies to protect retail revenue.
• Fuel & Forecourt Operations
• Fuel Inventory: Monitor daily fuel levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries to prevent "run-outs."
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure 100% compliance with Cayman Islands fire and environmental regulations.
• Price Monitoring: Monitor daily benchmark price shifts (WTI/Brent) and local competitor pricing.
• Team Leadership & Customer Experience
• Training for Upselling: Recruit and train a team of Service Station Attendants to act as retail associates who actively suggest "add-on" items.
• Service Standards: Maintain a "Five-Star" level of cleanliness for the forecourt, C-store, and restrooms.
• Scheduling: Manage staff rosters to ensure coverage while optimizing labor costs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in fuel station management, with a proven track record in the retail/C-store sector.
• Deep understanding of retail accounting (GP calculations, inventory turnover, basket size).
• Familiarity with Health & Safety standards for fuel stations.
• Proficient in using POS systems to analyze daily sales reports.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• C-Store Sales Growth: Year-over-year increase in non-fuel revenue.
• Inside Margin %: Maintaining a healthy GP% across all retail categories.
• Inventory Accuracy: Low variance between physical counts and POS records.
• Customer Conversion: Percentage of "fuel-only" customers who make an "inside" purchase.

Compensation

• Monthly salary of CI$5,000 plus incentives.
• Health care and pension in accordance with the Cayman Islands Labour Act

Hours

• The gas station is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year between 5:00 am and 12:00 am. The gas station manager will be expected to work during these hours based on the needs of the business.
