We invite applications for the position of Registered Nurse Phlebotomist Qualifications & Experience: Post Holder must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, with a minimum of seven (7) years post-training experience working in a Hospital or Medical Clinic. They must hold full registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of the Cayman Islands. They must also possess a Diploma in Phlebotomy, and have a minimum of one (1) year of experience.
The successful candidate must possess excellent Nursing and Phlebotomy skills, and have good customer service and interpersonal skills. They must be a team-player, and be comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment. They must be proficient in the use of spoken and written English. The ideal person is reliable, has an admirable work ethic, can multi-task, and is able to maintain calm whilst performing efficiently in stressful situations. They must exhibit professionalism, and a caring attitude toward all patients. This role may include some clerical/administrative duties. Computer literacy is desirable, and familiarity with Health Insurance Providers and their processes (eg. verification of benefits) would be advantageous. Knowledge of medical coding/billing, or a willingness to learn, would be ideal. Island Medical Centre is a small, long-established, busy Family Practice on Smith Road. Our cohesive team of four provides primary healthcare services to a diverse patient population, Monday through Saturday, in a comfortable though high-pressured work environment.
