Operations Technical Manager

Job description

• General oversight of the quality assurance function at Pestkil
• General oversight of the health & safety function at Pestkil
• Assisting with the implementation of business processes and procedures
• Contributing to the ongoing development of business goals and strategic plans
• Managing the development and implementation of Pestkil technical learning & development function; including the overseeing of all operations new hire training schedules
• Managing and ensuring all fleet management and equipment management processes are being carried out
• Conducting quality assurance for priority or problem sites in conjunction with the senior technician or supervisor involved
• Oversee Pestkil’s stock monitoring and ordering processes (Chemical inventory, equipment & parts)
• Assisting with management of the sales at Pestkil
• Customer relationship point person for priority accounts
• Attend customer site meetings when required
• Sentricon process management – Sales, quote development, installations, renewals, removals, invoice payment.
• Managing and oversight of Sentricon quality control checks
• Overseeing and management of operations team members
• Delegating and assigning tasks as appropriate to the operations supervisory and wider operations team
• Assisting with the performance management process and employee disciplinary procedures
• Maintaining a high standard of strong customer and employee relations
• Working or assisting on additional work and or projects that may arise from time to time

Job Specifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban Pest Management or similar; or ACE professional certification; or a minimum of 10 years quality assurance within the pest control industry required
• Experience working in office in a busy operations department within the pest control industry required
• Minimum of 5 years people management experience is required
• Previous knowledge working with PestPac software or other industry specific software required
• Previous knowledge and experience with the Sentricon System essential
• Strong ability to work with Word, Excel, and Power-point.
• Must have a high standard of knowledge of pest biology and behavior in addition to Pest ID skills in the tropics.
