Job Description

Role Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Biller with strong front desk skills to join our dynamic medical clinic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing and coding, as well as the ability to provide excellent patient care services at the front desk. This dual role requires multitasking, strong communication, and attention to detail to ensure both efficient billing processes and smooth patient flow within the office. Key Responsibilities

Medical Billing & Coding

Accurately code patient procedures, diagnoses, and treatments using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. Submit insurance claims and follow up on any rejections or denials, ensuring timely and accurate billing. Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues. Post payments, balance accounts, and prepare billing reports as needed. Maintain and update patient financial records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Assist with patient insurance verifications and pre-authorizations for services. Stay current with billing codes, insurance policies, and government regulations (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid). Ensure the collection of co-pays, deductibles, and any outstanding balances from patients. Ensure reports are submitted on a daily basis.

Front Desk Reception

Greet patients upon arrival, check them in for appointments, and verify their personal and insurance information. Answer phone calls in a professional and friendly manner, addressing patient inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff. Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling of appointments and follow-ups while adhering to telephone etiquettes. Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork and provide information regarding services, insurance, and billing procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care delivery. Assist with patient check-out, including payment processing and appointment scheduling. Ensure patient confidentiality and comply with other privacy regulations. To provide information regarding various medical services available at the clinic to patients. Develops and maintains the feedback/complaint procedure for customers to use and receive redressal. Trains staff in problem solving, effective communication strategies and conflict resolution. Communicates all information to the team regarding special events/promotions. Expedites flow of visitors/patients and ensure that each person receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment. Investigates patient/visitor concerns and implements appropriate courses of action. Keeps accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers. Develop customer service policies and standards. Write reports analyzing the quality of customer service. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein as and when assigned by the Reporting head. Carries out any other duties assigned by the Reporting-Head.
