Duties will include: Coordinate Automotive program curriculum to include, planning, conducting, and assessing classroom instructional activities in automotive technology at level 2. Track achievement of desired program outcomes by coordinating and administering tests in accordance with accepted reporting procedures Provide appropriate instructional classroom lessons, labs, and activities. Maintain consistent and effective classroom management policies. Maintain consistent and accurate records of student performance and attendance, inventory and tool control logs Complete required reports and report cards within prescribed time frames.
Possession of appropriate educational credentials An applicant shall earn a bachelor's degree or a Teacher's Diploma in Automotive technology or higher degree and a minimum of four years technical classroom experience
Candidates should have knowledge of the principles and practices of instructional planning and teaching methods; skill in the use of assessment instruments; ability to develop appropriate educational goals and objectives; ability to establish and maintain an effective learning environment; ability to communicate effectively; both orally and in written form. Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations and legislation Keen understanding of TVET management and delivery.
