Cayman Spirits Co. is seeking an active, hardworking and reliable Assistant Distiller to join our production team at our distillery located at 65 Bronze Road, George Town, GC. Cayman Spirit Co. Is a locally recognized distillery producing rum, vodka and specialty liqueurs. Open form Monday to Saturday, our company is dedicated to quality production, innovation, and creating authentic Caymanian Spirits enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. This position is based primarily within the distillery and production facility and involves physically active factory work in a non-airconditioned environment. Candidate should therefore be comfortable working in these conditions and performing hands-on production duties throughout the day. The successful candidate will assist with the daily operations of distillery and production facility, supporting the manufacturing, bottling, packaging, and handling of products.
1+ year experience in a alcohol production or manufacturing environment, ideally in beverages Frequent lifting of heavy items, up to 50 lbs. is a requirement, At least a basic level of knowledge of spirits, beverages, and various manufacturing operations. Occasional unloading of container shipments of various items like empty glass bottles, juices and other items can be needed, as well as organization of them. Knowledge of plumbing or electrical or other trades would be a plus, but not a requirement. Hours can vary depending on the shift, but some shifts start as early as 7AM, and can finish as late as 7PM, depending on the operational mode of the distillery, and at the discretion of the production manager. 8 hours per day and 6 days a week is the typical schedule. Experience with warehouse operations or familiarity with a forklift would be a plus.
