This role encompasses, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service: Greet guests warmly, answer questions about the menu, and provide recommendations tailored to their preferences. Ensure a positive and memorable dining experience for each guest
Take orders accurately and efficiently: Clearly communicate orders to the kitchen and bar staff, ensuring all requests and dietary restrictions are met
Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally: Maintain a clean and organized dining area, bussing tables efficiently, and replenishing water glasses and condiments
Upsell and promote menu items: Suggest additional dishes or drinks that complement their choices, increasing sales and revenue
Operate POS system accurately and efficiently: Process bills, accept various payment methods, and ensure smooth transactions
Maintain a clean and organized work environment: Assist with setting up and cleaning tables, restocking service stations, and adhering to all health and safety regulations
Additional Responsibilities
Follow restaurant policies, rules and regulations as set forth by Management
Follow safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to Management; and complete safety training and certifications
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth, efficient and friendly service
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Management
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a server in a similar fast-paced restaurant environment
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality
Proficient in cash handling, accurate calculations and skilled in processing various payment methods
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Excellent understanding of food handling and safety and sanitation principles
Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Available to work flexible hours, including on Public holidays, weekends and evenings
