Head of IT

Travers Thorp Alberga is seeking an experienced and proactive Head of IT to lead and manage the firm’s technology infrastructure and IT operations across its Cayman Islands, BVI and Hong Kong offices.

The successful candidate will have

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in information technology, including senior leadership responsibility;
• Strong technical knowledge across enterprise network and security infrastructure (e.g. FortiGate firewalls), Microsoft 365 E5 environments (Defender, Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Purview), multi-cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), virtualisation and backup/disaster recovery infrastructure (e.g. Hyper-V, VMware, Veeam), on-premises/AD infrastructure, and legal/financial services technology platforms (e.g. document management systems, practice management systems);
• Experience managing IT strategy, vendors, system implementations and business continuity/disaster recovery planning across multiple jurisdictions, including regulatory and data protection compliance considerations;
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and team management skills;
• Relevant professional certifications and prior law firm or professional services experience preferred;
• Experience overseeing or directly contributing to software development initiatives, including custom system/application development, is an advantage.
