Carpenter / Mason Helper

Assist carpenters and masons with a variety of construction tasks by providing both technical and manual support. Responsibilities include cutting and fitting lumber, cutting concrete blocks, mixing and placing concrete and mortar, loading and unloading materials, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, operating hand and power tools safely, maintaining clean and organized job sites, and following safety procedures. The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team on a diverse range of construction projects while carrying out instructions accurately and efficiently. Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist carpenters and masons with daily construction tasks.
• Measure, cut, and fit lumber, blocks, and other construction materials.
• Mix and place concrete and mortar.
• Load and unload materials and set up scaffolding.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Maintain clean and safe job sites.
• Follow instructions and comply with all health and safety procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of basic carpentry, masonry, construction techniques, hand and power tools, and PPE.
• Ability to accurately measure, operate construction equipment, and work independently or as part of a team.
• Physically fit, able to climb scaffolding and work at heights.
• Must be versatile and willing to work on a variety of construction projects.
