CHRISTOPHER G. BROWN T/A C & M GENERAL MAINTENANCE are seeking a skilled, hardworking, and safety-conscious Steel Worker to assist with the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of steel structures and components on construction projects. Responsibilities Measure, cut, bend, shape, and assemble steel materials. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Weld, bolt, and secure steel components as required. Install structural steel, beams, columns, frames, and other metalwork. Operate hand tools, power tools, and steel fabrication equipment safely. Inspect materials and completed work for accuracy and quality. Assist with loading, unloading, and positioning steel materials. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas. Follow all workplace safety procedures and building regulations. Work with supervisors and other trades to complete projects efficiently. Qualifications 5-6 years of experience Knowledge of steel materials, tools, and fabrication techniques. Ability to read drawings and take accurate measurements. Physically fit and able to lift and handle heavy materials. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions. Clean police record required.
