General construction duties, building maintenance, site preparation and finishing duties at various sites around Grand Cayman to ensure structural integrity and functionality of installation works.
Responsible for assisting other skilled tradesmen on site, performing minor to major repairs of various installations to maintain project timelines, as well as performing daily site inspections on equipment, scaffolding and hand/power tools to maintain performance. Duties may also require assistance with retrieving and delivering materials to various sites.
Knowledgeable in drywall, tiling, masonry, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, appliance repair, and HVAC service and installationsMeasuring, cutting, and bending steel bars or mesh to precise specifications using specialized equipment.
Securing rebar in place using wire, clips, or welding to form stable, rigid frameworks (cages).
Placing, fitting, and anchoring steel reinforcement into concrete formwork, foundations, beams, and slabs.
Fitting chairs and spacers to ensure the steel has the correct concrete coverage.
