Job Title: Mason / Carpenter / Steelman Location: George Town Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $14 per hour Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Mason / Carpenter / Steelman to join our construction team. The successful candidate will perform a variety of construction tasks including masonry work, carpentry, and steel fixing to support the successful completion of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The ideal applicant should possess practical experience in one or more of these trades and demonstrate a strong commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety. Key Responsibilities Masonry Duties Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and stone according to construction plans and specifications. Mix and apply mortar, cement, and other materials for masonry work. Construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, and other masonry structures. Install paving stones, tiles, and other related materials as required. Ensure masonry work is level, aligned, and finished to quality standards. Carpentry Duties Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other construction materials. Build and install formwork, frameworks, doors, windows, and other structures. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications. Repair and maintain existing wooden structures and fittings. Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. Steelman Duties Cut, bend, and fix reinforcing steel bars and steel mesh according to approved drawings. Tie reinforcement bars and position them correctly before concrete placement. Assist in the assembly and installation of structural steel components. Verify measurements and ensure steel work complies with project specifications. Maintain tools and equipment used in steel fixing activities. Requirements Proven experience as a Mason, Carpenter, Steelman, or Multi-Skilled Construction Worker. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures. Proficiency in the use of relevant hand tools, power tools, and equipment. Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
