Assistant Automotive Maintenance Programmer

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and maintaining automated maintenance scheduling systems for vehicles and equipment.
• Assist and support the development and updating of maintenance programs, scripts, or software tools used for diagnostics and servicing
• Analyze vehicle performance data to identify maintenance needs, trends, and potential system failures
• Collaborate with automotive technicians and engineers to translate maintenance requirements into programmable solutions
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system updates, and performance metrics
• Troubleshoot and debug software or system issues related to maintenance programming
• Assist in implementing predictive maintenance strategies using data analytics
• Ensure all maintenance programming aligns with safety regulations and company standards
• Provide technical support and training to staff on maintenance systems and tools

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of automotive systems (engines, transmissions, diagnostics, etc.)
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar
• Understanding of maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a technical team environment
• Minimum 3 years relevant working experience
