Thrift Store Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Thrift shop manager for Cayman Brac. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. The manager will organize and lead volunteers to help run the thrift shop and will need to be able to build relationships within the community of Cayman Brac in order to meet the needs of our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and dedicated team of staff and volunteers and to play a pivotal role in the development of the Society on Cayman Brac.

• To manage the daily running of the CIHS Thrift Shop located on Cayman Brac
• To manage an effective team of volunteers in the Thrift Shop.
• Maximize and maintain the use of Thrift Shop resources to generate revenue.
• Be able to operate a point of sales register.
• To work collaboratively as part of a team of staff and volunteers who carry out a range of roles and responsibilities.
• Increase revenue for the Brac Branch of CIHS by growing client relationships, marketing, managing pricing policies and managing donations.
• Create and maintain a safe, clean environment for volunteers and customers
• Complete the banking on a weekly basis and report sales performance on a monthly basis.
• Sorting and organizing donations.
• Flexibility and a friendly attitude to customers and volunteers with interest in expanding inventory knowledge and sales skills· It is required that 1 day a month, you will need to travel to the Grand Cayman Humane Society thrift shop to sort and organize donations to take back to Cayman Brac.

40 hours per week, including a Saturday. Additional weekends and evenings as required.

The successful candidate must have

Experience of fundraising Experience of successfully managing a charity thrift shop Experience of successfully managing volunteers A willingness to build relationships and a common understanding with the community Proven ability to deliver good customer service A commitment to Humane Society principles and policies A marketing qualification or certification
