ROLE OVERVIEW

PURPOSE OF JOB

The team provides 24/7 investigation and litigation support services. These services rely on a team who understand the detailed issues on the case and can check facts. The Cayman based team members also manage the relationship with client stakeholders as well as related service providers. These services are essential to support appointment takers to make informed decisions and to respond to client requests in contentious situations. These services enable JTC Special Situations to take matters involving large and/or urgent discovery, investigation and litigation support projects.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

> eDiscovery and investigations project management including setting up work tasks, tracking workflows and setting up searches, > Leading review projects, factual analysis and reporting. > Assistance with investigation and eDiscovery strategy primarily on contentious cross border matters (often involving issues of fraud and misappropriation of funds). > Case management of contentious and complex client files and litigation support as required. > Management of junior team members and document review teams, including drafting guidance/instructions, ongoing supervision, quality checks and providing training. > Meeting demanding deadlines. > Accountable for onboarding clients and enhanced due diligence on KYC as required. > Invoicing, maintaining budgets and other administrative tasks as required from time to time.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

> Lawyer or suitable legal qualification. > 5+ years’ PQE of relevant experience. > Commercial Litigation, investigations and/or document review experience including on matters involving fraud and tracing issues. > Technical knowledge of financial fraud, investigation procedures, EDD and legal disclosures (eg privilege). > Experience using document management systems and eDiscovery systems in a legal setting. > Solid written, numeric and budgeting skills including understanding of financial statements. > Proactive and hardworking, willing to go the extra step to ensure tasks are done to the requisite level.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
