R&H Restructuring (Cayman) Ltd. is a Cayman Islands corporate recovery and insolvency firm which, together with its subsidiary R&H Restructuring (BVI) Ltd., operates under the brand “R&H Restructuring”. R&H Restructuring is owned and operated by R&H Cayman and is a member of the HLB International global network of professional services firms. The Firm specialises in offering advisory & restructuring, liquidation, restructuring directorship, soft wind-down, asset tracing & recovery and other related services to companies, trusts, partnerships and their stakeholders. At this time, we are inviting applications for the following full-time position. Assistant Manager – Corporate Restructuring and Recovery The successful applicant will be responsible for a portfolio of clients over which R&H Restructuring has been appointed. This will include voluntary, provisional and official liquidation appointments, receivership appointments and other advisory and restructuring engagements. The successful applicant will be required to deal with all routine aspects of the day-to-day administration of the portfolio of clients, dealing directly with clients and their advisors.

Specific duties will include

  • Preparing formal appointment documents
  • Preparing formal reports to Court, creditors and investors
  • Review and analysis of financial statements and financial products
  • Assisting with the preparation and management of litigation
  • Leading and mentoring junior members of staff
  • Providing support to managers to devise and execute case strategy for clients
  • Leading assignments with oversight from managers and other senior members of staff

It is necessary for the successful applicant to have familiarity and competency with the structural, regulatory, and multi-jurisdictional environment in which investment vehicles operate and an understanding of the legal aspects of the Companies Act, Companies Winding up Rules and regulations in the Cayman Islands. This position requires that the successful applicant be able to communicate effectively at all levels, be able to use own initiative, have experience of meeting frequent tight deadlines and be willing to work overtime when required. Applicants must be highly motivated and organised with an ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications and Experience

  • The successful candidate must have an internationally recognized professional accounting designation (CA, ACCA, CPA or acceptable equivalent);
  • Must possess at least 5 - 10 years corporate advisory, restructuring and insolvency experience with a reputable accountancy or insolvency practice; and
  • Must have prior experience in handling cross-border insolvency and restructuring assignments.

Benefits

  • Salary US$85,000 to US$117,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
  • A full package of benefits is also offered including an annual performance-based bonus, pension, health and life insurance.
