Responsible for protecting the organization by supporting cybersecurity operations with a primary focus on incident detection and response, and vulnerability management. Working closely with the CISO and a managed SOC provider, the analyst will investigate alerts, respond to security incidents, and coordinate remediation activities. This role requires a hands-on, analytical, and curious individual who is eager to learn, improve processes, and contribute to strengthening the organization’s overall security posture. The analyst will also support the continuous improvement of security monitoring capabilities, including automation and optimization of detection and response processes.
Key functions of the job are
Act as a hands-on cybersecurity analyst responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security alerts and incidents across the organization.
Perform alert triage, investigation, containment, and remediation of security threats, working closely with internal teams and the managed SOC provider.
Support incident response activities, including root cause analysis, documentation, and identification of control improvements to prevent recurrence.
Execute and coordinate the end-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle, including vulnerability scanning, prioritization, remediation tracking, and reporting.
Work with IT and business teams to ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities, providing risk-based guidance and tracking progress to closure.
Support and coordinate security testing activities, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and assist with remediation planning.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of security monitoring and detection capabilities, including tuning alerts, enhancing use cases, and reducing false positives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and/or M.Sc. in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and industry certifications.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, or GIAC (e.g. GCIH, GCIA) are highly desirable. Advanced certifications such as CISSP or CISM are considered an advantage but not required.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security operations, or a related role, with exposure to incident response or vulnerability management activities.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including IT, risk, and external service providers (e.g. managed SOC), is desirable.
Experience within the financial services sector or regulated environments is advantageous.
Hands-on knowledge of security operations, including incident detection, analysis, and response processes.
Hands-on experience with security tooling such as Qualys (vulnerability management), Microsoft Defender (EDR/XDR), and SonicWall, along with experience using SIEM and EDR platforms — or equivalent industry tools — is desirable.
