The duties of the successful applicant will include, but are not limited to
Setting up and maintaining temporary fencing, signage, safety barriers, ramps, and other temporary structures to ensure site security and compliance with workplace safety requirements.
Maintaining clean, safe, tidy, and accessible work areas by removing debris, waste, and excess materials and carrying out general cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, and pressure washing as required.
Performing basic carpentry duties, including assisting with framing and trim installation, repairing and installing wooden structures, doors, frames, panels, and other fixtures.
Assisting with masonry work, including mixing, preparing, and applying concrete or mortar as required.
Performing basic painting, staining, skimming, surface preparation, and finishing work.
Assisting with drywall installation, repairs, and finishing.
Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs, including repairing or installing doors, windows, handles, shelves, brackets, signage, hardware, and other fixtures.
Supporting skilled tradespeople by holding and positioning materials, preparing and cutting materials, mixing construction materials, and assisting with other tasks as required.
Moving, loading, unloading, organizing, and safely storing tools, equipment, machinery, and construction materials, including materials delivered to or transported from the worksite.
Monitoring inventory and supplies, reporting shortages or damaged materials, and ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained, cleaned, and stored.
Conducting basic checks and maintenance of tools and equipment and promptly reporting faulty, damaged, or unsafe equipment or site conditions to the site supervisor.
Following all workplace health, safety, environmental, and quality standards and procedures at all times.
Ensuring all assigned work is completed efficiently and to the required standard.
Performing any other duties reasonably assigned by the site supervisor in support of the successful completion of the project.
