Assistant Carpenter/Handyman

CDI Construction & Renovation is seeking a reliable, dependable, and hardworking Assistant Carpenter/Handyman to join our team. If you’re motivated, have a positive attitude, and value punctuality and quality workmanship, we’d love to hear from you. This is a hands on role supporting the company owner/foreman and assisting with day to day construction, renovation, and maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities Assist with Carpentry Tasks (Under the Direction of the Company Owner/Foreman)

• Support carpentry and renovation projects as assigned.
• Assist with custom furniture assembly, door and window repairs, deck construction, and finish carpentry.
• Perform demolition work, site preparation, and cleanup.
• Ensure accuracy, precision, and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Safely handle tools, materials, and construction equipment.

Handyman & General Maintenance Tasks

• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and general repair tasks.
• Hang shelves, artwork, complete patchwork, and assist with small home improvement tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide general support on job sites as needed.

Work Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 40–50 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors, on ladders, and around construction equipment.
• Must be able to work weekends and public holidays when required.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills.
• Must follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
• Valid Cayman Islands Driver’s Licence
