We are accepting applications for the following position

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

General Maintenance is a “hands-on” position which requires good working knowledge and experience with tools and building trades as well as significant experience with air conditioning, plumbing, electrics, carpentry, and painting.

RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE but not limited to

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests; communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment including cleaning and lubrication.
• Upkeep of swimming pool and equipment maintenance.
• Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping as well as external landscaping sprinklers.
• Perform all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement and the complete and thorough cleanup of the painting or repair area.
• Uphold maintenance inventory along with requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g. unclog drains), electrical components such as replacement of electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom related items.
• Follow all company safety/ security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; properly store flammable materials

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
• A certificate or degree level of education in engineering, as well as a certification in air conditioning, is required.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well in environment with time constraints.
• Ability to troubleshoot effectively.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, performing work accurately and efficiently.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Able to stand for long periods of time to complete tasks; able to bend, stoop and lift up to 50lbs.
• Possess a satisfactory police record and fluency in English.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including to work outside of normal business hours (i.e. early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays, as needed)
