We are currently seeking qualified candidates to be considered for the positions of staff in our Actuarial Consulting practice in the Cayman Islands. The successful candidates will be responsible for working with clients in the property/casualty and life insurance areas to deliver professional actuarial consultancy services, including audit support, actuarial opinions and capital modeling.

Responsibilities and required experience

  • Support client engagement teams, working with a wide variety of clients to participate in and deliver professional actuarial consultancy services as outlined above, and participate in business development activities
  • Support the team and the clients to create plans for accomplishing engagement objectives and a strategy that complies with professional standards
  • Assist with maintaining relationships with client management to manage expectations of service, including work products, timing and deliverables

Requirements

A bachelor’s or graduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or other related field A minimum of nine (9) months of recent relevant experience in a similar position with prior experience working for a public accounting, professional services, or actuarial consultancy firm preferred; successful candidates should be actively pursuing a professional actuarial designation with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, Society of Actuaries, Casualty Actuarial Society, or other internationally recognized professional actuarial association The successful candidates must have strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to work a flexible schedule as overtime will be required, as well as a dedication to teamwork and integrity within a professional environment.
