Team Leader (trainee)

Team Leader A Pizza Hut Team Leader assists with overseeing the day-to-day operations of a restaurant shift. Ensuring customer satisfaction, supervising staff on shift (kitchen and front of house) and making sure that all safety and sanitation standards are met. They also help train new employees and provide feedback to the management team. Team Leaders must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent customer service skills.

General duties

• Assist with leading and motivating team members to ensure customer satisfaction, quality product delivery, and a safe working environment
• Ensure that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures
• Monitor employee performance and provide feedback on areas of improvement
• Assist in the training of new staff members
• Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner
• Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and other operational data
• Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy of transactions
• Prepare daily reports for management review
• Alerting Manager of any equipment issues to be addressed by R&M team
• Monitor food preparation and presentation standards
• Oversee store operations during shift, including opening/closing duties
• Supervise cleaning activities to maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation
• Develop strategies to increase customer loyalty and improve profitability
• Other duties from time to time, as directed by Directors, Managers or Supervisory staff, on duty

Requirements

• Must be a certified Pizza Hut Team Member (kitchen & frontline)
• Previous experience in food service or other related fields preferred
• Ability to work split shifts, weekends & holidays between all Pizza Hut locations as needed
• Must have a clean police clearance certificate with no criminal charges
• Teamwork, able to lift up to 45 lbs & cleaning skills essential
• Hospitality to interact & work well with a multi-cultural team and customer base
• Strong leadership qualities
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
• Effective computer literacy, oral & written communication and math skills required
• Valid Cayman Islands drivers license is an asset
