Job Description

Cayman Kayaks is seeking a dynamic full-time team member to split their role between Sport Instructor and Administrative Assistant responsibilities. Employee is required to work weekend shifts, holidays and public holidays in addition to regular daily shifts. Administrative Assistant - Qualifications & Skills

Hard Skills

  • Proficient in QuickBooks and basic bookkeeping.
  • PeekPro Certified: Launch and Operations Fundamentals
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Science, Arts, Business or a related field is recommended
  • Accurate and reliable in processing and recording financial transactions.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel for administrative tasks and reporting.
  • Proficient in Lightroom, Photoshop, and Canva for photo and video editing to support in-house marketing.
  • Must have a Cayman-issued driver’s licence and vehicle.

Soft Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate excellence in customer service, with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues promptly and politely.
  • Ability to manage multiple communication channels (phone, email, and online platforms) efficiently.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills and attention to detail.
  • Dependable, professional, and committed to upholding company standards and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Works well independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Flexible schedule, with availability for occasional evening work outside regular office hours (9 a.m.–5 p.m.).

Sports Instructor - Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Science, Arts, Business or a related field is recommended
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of leading programs, such as; snorkeling, kayaking and boat tours, diving, nature trail tours and sustainable living lectures
  • Certified Swimming Instructor
  • Certified PADI Scuba Instructor
  • Certified Emergency Management Provider (Diving) and CPR certified
  • Skilled in water safety practices, with the ability to respond effectively in emergencies
  • Strong understanding of environmental education, marine ecology, and sustainability principles.
  • Must have a Cayman-issued driver’s licence and vehicle due to the evening hours and public transportation is not reliable

Administrative Assistant - Responsibilities We value someone who is genuinely passionate about customer service, teamwork, and the natural environment. Customer Service & Communication

  • Provide professional, courteous, and timely customer service at all times.
  • Respond accurately and promptly to inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales and promote company offerings.
  • Handle and securely process guests’ private information and payment details with discretion.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints politely and effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships locally and internationally.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Monitor and manage telephone calls, online communications, and emails efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with hotels, concierges, local businesses, and schools to support marketing initiatives.
  • Support day-to-day office operations while contributing to in-house marketing efforts. Responsibilities include managing schedules, coordinating events, and creating marketing materials. Must be proficient in Lightroom, Photoshop, and Canva for photo and video editing to produce engaging promotional content.

Financial & Sales Processing

  • Perform weekly bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks.
  • Ensure all sales transactions are accurately processed and recorded daily.
