CHRISTOPHER G. BROWN T/A OPEN C CONSTRUCTION are seeking a skilled, physically fit, and safety-conscious Steel Fixer to install, position, and maintain steel structures and reinforcements on construction sites. Responsibilities Read and interpret architectural blueprints, engineering plans, and technical drawings. Determine material requirements and appropriate construction techniques. Construct and install steel frames, supports, columns, and concrete reinforcements. Measure, cut, align, and position steel structures for installation. Transport and safely position steel materials on construction sites. Assist with cranes and hoisting equipment to position steel girders, columns, and supports. Verify alignment using levels, plumb bobs, and laser tools. Perform repairs and maintenance on existing steel structures. Maintain safe and organized work areas. Follow all health, safety, and company procedures. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience Basic construction experience is an asset. Ability to read and follow technical plans and drawings. Good understanding of health and safety practices. Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Comfortable working at heights. Strong practical, teamwork, and communication skills. Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious. Clean police record required.
