Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in month end accounting closes, prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations & P&L monthly management packs. Managing consultancy staff to support month end function.
Oversee local Accounts Payable and bank reconciliation processes
Prepare reinsurance cession journal entries, collaborating with reinsurance operations team
Preparation and review of local statutory audited financial statements, management of annual audit completion and support of quarterly SOX controls & compliance
Support the Director of Finance in preparation of financial reporting to the Board and ad hoc reporting requests
Prepare & submit US tax-related returns
Be the main point of contact with our insurance manager
Develop and implement process improvements in support of SOX Compliance
Knowledge and Experience
Qualified CA/CPA with a minimum of 5 years previous insurance/reinsurance experience
Experience in financial close processes, insurance/reinsurance accounting and internal controls
Self-motivator and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
Advanced Excel ability, high attention to detail, analytical mindset
Experience in Dynamics D365, Tagetik and AI agentic tools required
