Kitchen Helper/Server

The Kitchen Helper/Server will assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment while also providing support in food service operations. The role includes assisting chefs and kitchen staff in daily food preparation as well as attending to customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and food preparation areas.
• Ensure proper storage of food items and supplies in accordance with food safety standards.
• Receive and organize deliveries and assist with stock rotation (FIFO method).
• Dispose of kitchen waste properly and maintain cleanliness of garbage and storage areas.
• Support chefs and cooks during food preparation and service periods as required.
• Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Take customer orders accurately and assist with basic customer inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining and service areas.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene and comply with all health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, or Manager.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is an advantage.
• Experience in customer service or food service is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
