DAC Ltd is seeking a Foreman (Construction) with the following primary job duties on residential and commercial construction sites in the Cayman Islands.
Provide technical support and project oversight on construction projects
Provide day-to-day staff coordination and assigned works for specific sites
Ensure quality control of installations and conduct on-site reviews of completed works to meet site demands
Coordinate equipment and materials submittals for specific projects
Obtain vendor quotes and ensure placement of equipment and material orders
Attend site meetings and liaise with contractor staff
Submit RFIs as needed to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Provide support and tracking assistance on various items including inventory, quotations and procurement for all AC installation projects
Qualifications/Requirements
Min 5 years’ experience in MEP contracting to include general operations; coordination of construction works; and reconciliation of labor, materials and project schedules (combination of education and experience may be considered)
Great communication and client relation skills to liaise directly with contractors, subcontractors and developers. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in English.
Ability to provide assistance with daily operations of multiple sites and change orders
Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through. Must be able to work under pressure and manage multiple site schedules.
Demonstrated ability to identify air conditioning parts and equipment; interpret manufacturer instructions, technical drawings and diagrams; and communicate on these items in site meetings and with technicians
Ability to work overtime, public holidays and weekends, may require on-call work as needed
Ability to perform other tasks and responsibilities as required to maintain efficient operations
Must have clean criminal record and possess a valid CI driver’s license with clean driving record
