MASON / CARPENTER

Ingenious Enterprise Ltd, trading as Caribbean Construction, is seeking a qualified, skilled, and dependable Mason / Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry and masonry tasks, including structural work, finishing, repairs, and general construction duties, while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and workmanship. Key Responsibilities Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine materials required and plan construction activities. Measure, cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other construction materials. Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, roofs, and doorframes. Ensure all structures are level, square, and securely assembled. Install fixtures such as doors, cabinets, stairs, and paneling. Assist with building layout, framing, sheathing, and roofing structures. Inspect, repair, and replace damaged frameworks, structures, and fixtures. Cut openings in masonry walls, ceilings, and floors as required. Cut, shape, dress, and prepare construction materials. Mix cement, mortar, and other building compounds. Restore and repair old or worn masonry structures. Maintain tools, equipment, and clean workspaces. Manage construction materials and ensure proper use of tools and equipment. Identify and report safety hazards or serious site issues to the foreman. Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years’ proven experience as a carpenter, mason, or in a similar construction role. Strong knowledge of carpentry and masonry techniques, materials, and installation methods. Ability to use both electrical and manual tools and equipment (e.g., saws, hammers, drills, measuring tools). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction documents. Strong basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions. A clean Police Record is required.
