We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Public Bus Driver to transport passengers along designated routes in a timely and courteous manner. The ideal candidate will prioritize passenger safety, provide excellent customer service, and adhere to all traffic laws and transit regulations.
Operate a public transit bus safely and efficiently along assigned routes and schedules Pick up and drop off passengers at designated stops Ensure the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other road users at all times Assist passengers with boarding and exiting, including individuals with disabilities Provide accurate information regarding routes, schedules, and fares Monitor fare collection and issue tickets or passes as required Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies or unexpected situations Follow all company policies, traffic laws, and transportation regulations
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent with passenger endorsement Clean driving record Previous driving experience (public transportation experience preferred) Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and routes Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations professionally

Extended periods of sitting and driving Shift work, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Exposure to varying weather and traffic conditions
