Preparing technical drawings and mock-ups for cabinetry and construction projects. Measuring, cutting, shaping, fitting, and finishing timber. Using and maintaining hand and power tools. Installing floor joists, floorboards, roof trusses, wall partitions, doors, staircases, cupboards, kitchens, cabinets, counters, and molding. Building cabinets, vanities, tub and shower surrounds, room additions, and other custom projects. Interpreting technical drawings and client specifications. Selecting and inspecting materials for quality and defects. Following building codes and safety requirements for construction and remodeling projects.
High school diploma. Knowledge of building, construction, and basic mathematics. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination. Ability to use, maintain, and repair tools and equipment. Strong attention to detail and design skills. Ability to work well independently and with others. Clean police record.
