Key Duties ● Install, hang, and secure drywall, including metal and wood stud framing. ● Tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall to a paint‑ready level, including Level 5 finishes where required. ● Apply joint compound, smooth seams, repair surface imperfections, and perform plastering tasks as needed. ● Carry out painting duties including priming, sealing, cutting‑in, rolling, and applying finish coats to a high standard. ● Install trims and corner beads, and complete surface preparation for both plastering and painting. ● Read and interpret drawings, measure accurately, and maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas. ● Coordinate with site supervisors to meet project timelines, quality standards, and safety requirements. Qualifications / Requirements ● High school diploma or equivalent. ● Typically requires 3+ years of proven experience in drywall finishing, painting, plastering, or completion of a recognized apprenticeship. ● Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, or stilts, and lift heavy drywall panels (sometimes over 50 lbs). ● Proficiency with hand and power tools including drills, saws, trowels, sanders, sprayers, rollers, and brushes. ● Strong attention to detail, solid basic math skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
