Cigar Roller

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sort tobacco leaves by texture, size, and quality
• Moisten and condition leaves so they’re workable
• Select filler, binder, and wrapper leaves according to a cigar blend recipe
• Hand roll cigars using molds and cutting tools
• Ensure consistent shape, firmness, and draw quality
• Trim and finish cigars to exact specifications, inspect for defects such as cracks, uneven packing, or poor construction
• Follow production quotas while maintaining craftsmanship standards
• Participate at special cigar rolling events
• Maintain cleanliness of tools and workstation

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate should

• Have 3 or more years experience working with wide variety of cigar brands
• Manual dexterity
• Extensive knowledge of tobacco varieties
• Consistency under repetitive work
• Hand-eye coordination
• Patience and craftmanship
• Have strong interpersonal skills
• Possess good written and verbal communication skills
• Be a dependable team player with a professional and approachable manner
