Imagine Cayman T/A Sandbar is currently looking for an outgoing Bartender to work to keep guests entertained while expertly preparing their preferred beverages. Aside from possessing showmanship and knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer and wine, Bartenders must be able to interact effectively with guests and all levels of employees. It is the duty of the Employee to perform all essential job functions and duties of a Bartender. From time to time, the Employer may also add other duties within the reasonable scope of the Employee’s position, such duties may include but will not be limited to;
Arrive 10 minutes before the start of your shift Sick or Tardy Sick call requires 8 hours minimum notice to any manager o Two or more consecutive sick calls will require a doctor’s note to advise returning to work to resume responsibilities Tardiness requires notice to any manager via text, call or email Uniform A neat, clean uniform is required upon starting each shift Only an approved uniform will be worn during each shift
Practice proper hygiene techniques and food handling per DEH standards Inventory o Assist in counting inventory on all bar products weekly or as often as company needs Ensure proper techniques are used behind the bar to deter overpouring and theft Cocktail Knowledge and Preparation Knowledgeable of classic cocktails and cocktail preparations Aid in cocktail menu creation when needed Practice safe alcohol beverage practices
NOTE: Bartenders and Management are the only authorized staff to pour drinks from the bar
