Execute and coordinate a comprehensive and flexible audit plan, applying an appropriate risk-based methodology Review and validate, on a continual basis, business risks and priorities and updating the audit plan as appropriate Manage and perform advanced and specialized internal audit work across multiple and varied disciplines, applying internal audit standards, ensuring adherence with internal policies, regulations, financial controls, and industry best practices Prepare reports to management, the Board, and the Audit,Risk and Compliance Committee detailing audit outcomes, audit plan execution, remediation statuses , and other information as requested Plan, schedule, coordinate, review and report on the work of internal audit staff Review work completed by internal audit staff for adherence to the International Professional Practices Framework Conduct performance appraisals of internal audit staff and ensure they are adequately trained, effective, and appropriately deployed Proactively interact with executive, department and operating management to ensure that their audit needs are met in a cost-effective manner Stay informed of changing auditing procedures, policies and industry trends Act as an internal controls, process improvement and risk consultant
Bachelor’s degree in business or similar CA or CPA designation or equivalent Must be a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) IT audit knowledge and related credentials considered an asset Minimum of 7 years of previous operational and internal audit or other relevant experience, previous experience with a major accounting firm considered an asset Minimum of 5 years of experience managing staff, managing staff within an audit environment considered an asset Strong technical internal audit skills Proven advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and AI driven data analytics tools, generating innovative insights to improve business processes, enhance reporting, and support decision making, with a passion for continuous improvement Strong ability to rapidly assimilate information in unfamiliar situations and apply excellent project management skills.
