Plumber Helper

J & D Plumbing is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Plumber Helper to join our team. The successful applicant will work under the direction and supervision of the Master Plumber, assisting with plumbing installations, repairs, maintenance, and other plumbing-related duties at various job sites. Duties and Responsibilities

The Plumber Helper will be responsible for

• Assisting the Master Plumber with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, pipes, fixtures, and fittings.
• Carrying tools, equipment, pipes, fittings, and other materials to and from work areas.
• Preparing work areas and ensuring the Master Plumber has the necessary tools and materials to complete each job.
• Assisting with measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling pipes and other plumbing materials as directed.
• Helping with the removal and replacement of plumbing fixtures and damaged or defective plumbing components.
• Assisting with locating leaks, blockages, and other plumbing problems.
• Digging trenches, clearing work areas, and performing other physical tasks required for plumbing installations and repairs.
• Cleaning and organizing tools, equipment, materials, and work areas before and after jobs.
• Loading and unloading plumbing materials, tools, and equipment.
• Following instructions provided by the Master Plumber and completing assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures and using appropriate protective equipment.
• Performing other plumbing-related duties as assigned by the Master Plumber.

Working Hours

• 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Applicants must be available to work weekends and public holidays when required.
• Applicants must be willing and able to work under varying site, weather, and environmental conditions.

• The physical ability to lift and carry loads of up to 50 pounds.
• A strong work ethic and a reliable and responsible attitude.
• A willingness to learn plumbing skills and develop practical experience on the job.
• The ability to understand and follow instructions.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• The ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in different site conditions.
• A commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
